Table Lamps by Manual da Costa

A rare pair of oversize 'Sesar' Table Lamps (Model 289), designed by Manuel da Costa for Arpex International, Italy 1980s. Each lamp features a bold spiraling ceramic body finished in a gloss turquoise glaze - referencing shell-like forms and Romanesque draped fabric. The design balances organic curvature with a sense of architectural presence, making the lamps as much sculptural objects as functional sources of light. The lamps feature new hand-pleated shades in a soft grey fabric.
