Set of three sconces produced by Seguso Vetri d’Arte in Murano, Italy, 1930s. Each sconce features an aged brass fitting and a hand-crafted Murano glass shade, each in a subtly different shade of green, creating a harmonious yet visually dynamic ensemble when displayed together. The glass is made using the rigadin a spirale technique, achieved by blowing molten glass into a ribbed mold and then twisting it while hot, resulting in a softly spiraling pattern that wraps around each shade. The glass is subsequently plunged into cold water to produce the distinctive satinato semi-opaque finish, which diffuses light and enhances the depth of color. The variations in green are intentional and characteristic of hand-blown Murano glass, where subtle differences are celebrated as a mark of authenticity.
Sold as a set of three.
